China has adopted a nine-year compulsory schooling system, which means all children are required to attend school for at least nine years. Students have to complete both the primary school program and the junior middle-school program. Higher education is only for those students who have passed examinations of all levels. Student must pass the entrance examination for senior middle schools or middle-level technical schools. After two, three or four years, they have to to go though national college entrance examination for admission to universities.
Admissions
University admission is run on a system of centralised registration, where admissions committees at regional level are under the Ministry of education. Access is granted on the basis of academic, physical, and moral qualifications. Special allowances are made for minority nationality and overseas Chinese candidates
Pre-primary Education
Children from 3 to 6 will participate in day care near their quarters, where they learn basic language and topics. Games, dancing, singing and acting. Children are taught from an early age the values of truth, goodness and beauty.
Chinese take child education seriously because they know that a person's personality is mould in early childhood.
Primary Education
High school education
High school education has two parts, 3 year junior high school program, and senior high school.
From junior high school student begin to learn a wide range of science subjects like chemistry, physics and biology, and other subjects such as history, geography and foreign languages. Physical education encouraged enthusiastically
The aim is to prepare for the preliminary assessment of national college. Studies are designed specifically for the science and art students.
Higher education
Higher education in China is to train specialists for all sectors of the country's development. Universities, colleges and institutes that offer the four-or five-year Bachelor programmes as well as the specific two-or three-year program. Students who have completed a first degree can use to enter graduate schools.
